Radio show host and long-time Pahrump resident Art Bell has died according to the Nye County Sheriff Department. Bell was the original owner of the Pahrump-based radio station KNYE 95.1FM and was known across the U.S. and in Canada for his paranormal radio program, “Coast to Coast.” He passed away at his home in Pahrump at age 72.

Twenty five minutes ago, George Noory had some news but would not elaborate on the truth of what was going on. Just a few minutes ago, Coast to Coast confirmed that Art Bell, the man who started it all, many, many years ago, has died.

When I moved to Montreal is 2002, Hubby listened to this little radio show on the radio that we have in our bedroom. For all the years we have lived together, Coast to Coast has been a staple of our nightly radio listening.

When we go to bed, the radio goes on. Countless nights, we listened to Art talk about High Strangeness, on Coast to Coast AM. A couple of years into our listening, Art handed the show over to the legendary, George Noory, who helms the show today, along with George Knapp, Jimmy Church, Dave Schrader, Connie Willis, And Linda Moulton Howe.

Art was in a class by himself when it came to radio. Art had traveled all over the world, after the death of his life Ramona many years ago. Art had remarried and has two children. At one time Art used to do the show via Stream Link from Manila in the Philippines. After a time, arranging citizenship for his new wife and daughter returned to Pahrump Nevada, where they lived until Art’s death tonight.

We mourn his loss. The stars shine a little brighter, with Art in the heavens.

We pray for his family and friends, along with the vast, world-wide Coast to Coast Community.
